Elizabeth M. Vincent
Liz specializes in business law and estate planning. Her extensive background in business transactions, corporate governance, and succession planning brings great strength to the firm’s transactional practice, while her expertise in estate planning and probate law further broadens the scope of legal services that the firm delivers to its clients. She joins Rossman P.C. after heading the estate planning department at another law firm.
Over the course of her career, Liz has developed a niche practice of servicing the estate planning needs of her high asset business clients who own closely held corporations, thus unifying the purposes and goals of both business structuring and succession planning and planning relative to the personal estate.
Liz also delivers services relating to special needs planning and elder law. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Elder Law and Disability Rights, Probate and Estate Planning, and Business Law Sections, and she is on the State Bar Council of the Elder Law and Disability Rights. In addition, she is in the National Academy of Elder Law Lawyers and the Academy of Special Needs Planners, having served as Planning Committee Member for the 2017 and 2018 Annual Meetings.
In addition, Liz knows her way around the courtroom. Having represented various municipalities in a prosecutorial capacity and in litigating a wide array of both civil and criminal matters over the course of her career, she is a very capable litigator and trial lawyer.
Liz graduated with honors from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she was awarded the Honors Scholarship and earned a spot on the Dean’s List and Honor roll for five terms, ultimately graduating cum laude in 2012. Prior to law school, Liz graduated cum laude and near the top of her class with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2008.
Liz is a member of the Oakland and Macomb County Bar Associations, and the Macomb County Probate Bar.
