Elyse E. Palombit

Though still early in her career, Elyse has substantial litigation experience, having worked intensely on a highly publicized case concerning condemnation rights in connection with construction of a second bridge over the Detroit River.  She is presently working on a docket consisting of business litigation matters and corporate matters, including hard-fought shareholder disputes and commercial collection actions seeking to recover in excess of $7,000,000 on behalf of multi-billion dollar companies.

Elyse  builds upon a very successful law school resume, having graduated in the top 10% of her class at Wayne State University Law School. She further distinguished herself in law school by serving as an editor for both the Wayne State Journal of Business and the Journal of Law in Society, participating in the Mock Trial program, and earning the Silver and Bronze Key Awards for outstanding legal scholarship.

In addition to her stellar academic performance and activities, Elyse gained substantial real-world experience during law school through her clerkship with the Wayne County Corporation Counsel, judicial internships with the Honorable Gerald E. Rosen (of the U.S District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan) and the Honorable Kirsten Frank Kelly (of the Michigan Court of Appeals), clerkships with several law firms in the Metro Detroit area, and as a research assistant.

Prior to law school, Elyse graduated from Michigan State University, where she earned a double major in Criminal Justice and Sociology.
